The human body is made up of many small
structures such as cells, tissues, and organs. All these work together in a
coordinated and organized manner to maintain life. Because of this complex
arrangement, humans are considered one of the most advanced living organisms.
To understand the human body, we mainly
study two important fields:
- Anatomy – the study of body structures
- Physiology – the study of body functions
These two subjects always complement each other. Anatomy explains what is present, while physiology explains how it works.
