Coagulants : CLASSIFICATION

Anticoagulants are classified as follows:

I. In vitro anticoagulants: Heparin, Sodium oxalate, and Sodium citrate.

II. In vivo anticoagulants.

1. Heparin: injectable

2. Oral

a. Coumarin derivatives: Warfarin, Bishydroxycoumarin.

b. Indandiones: Phenindione, Diphenadion.
